Some names in North Salt Lake appear in current public work lists, while others survive only in property rolls, school rosters, newspapers, or old county books. The people directories serving North Salt Lake differ in purpose and reach. A city employee search may yield a work phone, a parcel file may identify an owner, and a historical source may place a family near the city before incorporation.

North Salt Lake Directory Routes

No single directory lists everyone connected to North Salt Lake. Official staff lists identify people in public roles. School directories name teachers and district staff. Property and deed systems name owners and parties to recorded instruments, while license and business searches identify people acting in a public professional or company role. Historical collections reach residents whose names never entered a modern web portal.

Choose by relationship, not just by name. A teacher belongs in the school directory. A city official belongs in the municipal list. An owner is best approached through the parcel system, and a licensed trade or business role belongs in a state registry. For an older household, start with county books, newspapers, a census, or a library reference request.

The official North Salt Lake staff directory is a workplace directory. It can connect a name or department with a title, public phone number, email link, and office location when published. Partial terms can help when a full spelling is not known. Department browsing is useful when the person is known only by function, such as planning, finance, or the City Recorder's office.

Its controls show why a department term can work when a name does not. If no entry appears, call the department's main line or City Hall at (801) 335-8700. For an existing public roster or record that is not posted, the City Recorder and city GRAMA route are the next channels.

North Salt Lake Government Directories

The city list is only one layer. The Utah Directory covers state agencies and employees, with public work details such as name, agency, title, phone, email, or office location when the agency publishes them. Davis County's web directory points to county offices and public contacts. These people directories document official roles. They do not claim that a work address is a home address.

Full or preferred nameIdentifies the published staff entry
Title and agencyExplains the person's public role
Work phoneMay be direct, an extension, or a main line
EmailPublic work address when supplied
Office locationBuilding or mailing location, not proof of residence

Search the agency as well as the person. Titles change, and a former employee may disappear from a current list. Council minutes, board rosters, archived newsletters, and agency records can preserve earlier roles. North Salt Lake's City Recorder holds council and board material that the live directory may no longer reflect.

Note: A government directory entry proves a published public role at that time, not where the listed person lives.

North Salt Lake School Directories

The Davis School District staff directory searches current personnel by name, school or location, and department when those filters are offered. Results may include full name, position, school, public email, and phone or extension. The Utah State Board of Education district directory complements it with a Davis District row, superintendent contact, district address, website, and an exportable table.

  1. Try the employee's surname or part of it in the district search.
  2. Narrow by school or location if several people share a name.
  3. Use a department filter for a role known more clearly than the person's spelling.
  4. Call the school or district office if the current directory returns no match.

A current staff list is not an alumni directory. For a former classmate, use yearbooks, library catalogs, public reunion notices, or archived school publications. Private student and alumni lists should not be treated as public sources merely because a school keeps them.

North Salt Lake Owner Directories

Davis County's Property Search 2.0 works like an owner directory when the starting point is an address, parcel serial, or map location. Parcel detail can show current ownership, legal description, property traits, tax links, and recorded-document history. The Recorder's separate explanation also describes owner-name and document-entry routes, though broad public name search behavior can vary between the free interface, office terminals, and paid REDI-Web.

Each field answers a different question. The situs address is the physical property. A tax mailing address is where notices go. Primary or Secondary is a tax classification. None alone proves that the owner lives at the parcel. A deed abstract adds grantors, grantees, document type, recording date, legal description, and the ownership chain.

North Salt Lake is in Davis County. The city's name can look like a Salt Lake County reference, but land and assessment searches route to Davis County in Farmington.

The Utah voter list is another public record that behaves like a directory, but it is not a free open name box. The statewide file is a paid snapshot with statutory fields and protected at-risk entries excluded; Davis County subsets route through the Clerk. The self-service status tool is for an identity-matched voter checking their own entry. The North Salt Lake voter records treatment separates those two systems.

The North Salt Lake public records system explains copy fees and GRAMA access. For directory use, save the parcel serial and recorded entry number, then compare the name with an independent source before concluding that two entries belong to one person.

North Salt Lake License Directories

Utah's DOPL Licensee Lookup and Verification searches a professional name with a beginning or containing match, a profession, or an exact license number. Results can show the licensee name, number, profession, status, issue and expiration dates, and discipline or history links. This is useful when the relationship to North Salt Lake comes from a public trade or licensed service rather than a home address.

The official license screen is shown from the DOPL lookup source.

The name and profession controls help separate people with similar names. Use the status and date fields as dated facts, not a broad claim about a person's current location.

License status
The state of a credential on the record date, such as active or expired.
Registered agent
A person or company designated to receive legal papers for a business.
Situs address
The physical location of a parcel, which may differ from a mailing address.

North Salt Lake Business Directory Trail

The Utah Business Search can resolve an entity name or number and may display its status, registration, registered agent, principals, public addresses, and filing details. North Salt Lake did not have a verified public name-search portal for its city business-license register in the research. The fallback is a request to the City Recorder or Finance for an existing active-license list, limited to fields classified as public.

A company result may connect a public business role to an address, but an agent's address is not proof of residence. The Utah List Service also sells business, professional, and building-permit lists. Those bulk lists are distinct from the free basic entity directory and may have fees or approval rules for some contact details.

Historical North Salt Lake Directories

North Salt Lake incorporated in 1946. That date changes how older people directories should be searched. A resident from an earlier period may appear under Bountiful, Davis County, a precinct or ward, the Salt Lake vicinity, or an old road name. The city's first town hall was a reused Highway Patrol weigh station, and a 1996 Jubilee history at City Hall records the first fifty years. Local histories can supply names and images that formal indexes miss.

  1. Before 1946: use census, county land, church, newspaper, and nearby-place directories to establish household, address, land, or community ties.
  2. From 1946: add city minutes, the Jubilee history, permits, and local publications for municipal roles, owners, builders, and residents.
  3. County books, 1869 to 1953: search the FamilySearch Davis County collection for deeds, wills, probate, marriages, naturalization, mining, and cemetery entries.
  4. Open historical series: check Utah Archives and Utah Digital Newspapers for agency files, notices, obituaries, and social news.

The Davis County Library began in 1946 and has seven locations. Farmington is the branch specifically advertised with a microfilm reader. Exact North Salt Lake or Polk directory volumes were not published in the official online material, so ask reference staff to check the catalog, interlibrary loan, scans, and telephone-book holdings before claiming a year is available.

North Salt Lake County Books

The FamilySearch catalog collection named “Utah, Davis County records, 1869-1953” is far wider than a standard city directory. Digitized originals from the Clerk and Recorder include deed books, probate decree books, wills, naturalization papers, marriage records, mining records, Kaysville death records, and Lakeview Cemetery material. Probate decree books span 1880 through 1946. Sign-in or an affiliate library may be needed for some images.

Search by record series when the global name box fails. Handwritten indexes can omit a name or spell it in a new way. Pair a deed party with a probate file, newspaper notice, or cemetery entry. A 2019 historical-records grant helped preserve Davis County marriage material, adding another route between spouses and family names.

Note: FamilySearch images may be digital yet still require library access, so record the catalog title and film or image group before visiting.

A directory entry is a dated statement from one source. It can show a workplace, registered-agent address, tax mailing address, parcel ownership, former household, or public office. It does not always show a current home. Compare two independent identifiers, such as a middle initial and agency, parcel serial and deed entry, or school and public work email.

Phone books are especially limited. No official current residential white-pages database was found for North Salt Lake. Library reference staff may locate historical telephone books, but the official pages do not publish exact years. Newspaper OCR also produces spelling errors, so try a surname, address, prior name, or date range.

Use public people directories for lawful personal research, family history, civic contact, or verification of a public role. Do not scrape private neighborhood, congregation, alumni, or club lists. Public access never permits stalking, threats, or harassment.
